Watch Movement Workshop by IHT Swiss Watch Atelier
Hands-on watchmaking workshop where participants assemble and test their own mechanical watch movement.
Build Your Own Watch Movement with a Swiss Master Watchmaker offers a rare introduction to traditional mechanical watchmaking. Led by Michael, a Master Swiss Watchmaker with over 30 years of experience, the session introduces participants to Swiss watchmaking history, key inventions, and the inner workings of mechanical watches.
During the 3-hour workshop, participants work at a mini watchmaker’s bench using professional tools to assemble a functioning mechanical movement. With step-by-step guidance, they will handle delicate gears and springs, test the completed movement using a timegrapher, and gain a deeper appreciation for the mechanics beneath the dial.
At the end of the session, participants will take home their assembled mechanical movement and a certificate of participation. This experience falls under the “workshops & classes” category, emphasizing precision, craftsmanship, and hands-on technical learning.
