Chocolate-making Workshop by The Sundowner Nature Experience Centre
Hands-on chocolate-making workshop where participants craft their own bar from raw cacao beans.
The Bean to Bar Chocolate-making Workshop at The Sundowner Nature Experience Centre offers a unique, farm-to-table introduction to chocolate crafting. Participants begin by exploring the origins of chocolate within a nature sanctuary, observing live cacao trees and learning about the role of pollinators such as honeybees.
The workshop then transitions into a fully hands-on process, where participants roast raw cacao beans, grind them into chocolate paste, and experience the transformation from bean to finished product. The sensory journey—aroma, texture, and visual change—forms a central part of the experience.
The session concludes with participants moulding and taking home their own handcrafted chocolate bar. This experience falls under the “workshops & classes” category, combining culinary skill-building with environmental awareness and experiential learning.
Note: This workshop is only held on Saturday’s.
